Dr Antony Mark Nguyen

Dr Antony Mark Nguyen is an Australian Orthopaedic Surgeon, founder and CEO of Functional Orthopaedics specialising in hip, knee, shoulder and trauma surgery.

He is committed to providing personalised, patient-centred care, combining the latest surgical techniques with evidence-based medicine and rehabilitation to help improve quality of life and allow patients to achieve their mobility goals.

Following completion of his orthopaedic training, Dr Nguyen completed international fellowship training in Canada, where he specialised in anterior hip replacement, robotic knee arthroplasty and complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery.

To further develop his surgical expertise, he has also completed dedicated fellowship training in shoulder surgery and specialised in ACL reconstruction through advanced training with leading surgeons from the renowned Oxford University. 

Today, Dr Nguyen manages the full spectrum of hip, knee, shoulder and trauma conditions. His special interests include anterior hip arthroplasty, robotic knee replacement, revision hip and knee surgery, shoulder replacement and sports injuries of the knee and shoulder.

Dr Nguyen consults privately and operates at Strathfield Private Hospital and Kareena Private Hospital.
