Dr Joanna Murray

Dr Joanna Murray is a highly experienced Rehabilitation Medicine Physician, with over 19 years of expertise in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked across multiple hospital sites in Sydney, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in diverse clinical settings. Dr Murray serves as a staff specialist in the Acute Care of the Elderly Unit at Hornsby Kuringai Hospital, and as a Visiting Medical Officer at both Mount Wilga Private Hospital and The Hills Private Hospital.

Dr Murray graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery, and Medical Science from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and has received extensive training at various tertiary and teaching hospitals throughout Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) and the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).

Specialising in a wide range of rehabilitation services, Dr Murray has developed expertise in managing general and orthopaedic rehabilitation, complex geriatric medicine, neurological rehabilitation, as well as lymphoedema and lipoedema rehabilitation.

She was instrumental in establishing both the Bone and Balance Falls Prevention Clinic at Hornsby Hospital and the Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Day Program Clinic at Lakeview Private Hospital. She also works in the Memory Clinic at Hornsby Hospital providing multidisciplinary care for patients suffering from Dementia.

Dr Murray is known for her holistic, compassionate, and patient-centred approach to rehabilitation. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to help her patients recover from disabilities, and she is deeply committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for those under her care. Her extensive experience, alongside her passion for patient well-being, enables her to support individuals on their journey to recovery with expertise and empathy.
