Dr Kylie Sustar

Mitcham Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr Kylie Sustar, an obstetrician and gynaecologist known for her compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.

 

Following her return from maternity leave, Kylie is now accepting new obstetric patients, including both routine and high-risk pregnancies. She is passionate about providing personalised pregnancy care and supporting women and their families from pre-conception through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

 

Kylie believes women should feel informed, supported and actively involved in decisions about their health. She takes the time to explain complex medical issues clearly and aims to provide practical, evidence-based advice with reassurance and compassion.

 

Kylie completed extensive specialist training at leading Melbourne hospitals, including Mercy Hospital for Women and The Royal Women’s Hospital. She also gained experience in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology at The Royal Children’s Hospital and has a strong interest in pre-conception care and fertility, supported by a Master of Reproductive Medicine from UNSW.

 

Kylie also provides care across a broad range of gynaecological concerns. This includes, but is not limited to, heavy or irregular periods, ovulation disorders, contraception, pelvic pain and endometriosis, vulval conditions, and abnormal cervical screening requiring colposcopy. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery for benign gynaecological conditions, with a focus on improving recovery and patient outcomes.

 

Outside of medicine, Kylie enjoys staying active, travelling and exploring Melbourne’s food scene, as well as spending time with her family and her beloved dog Toby.
