Dr Udai Wijetunga

Dr Udai Wijetunga began his specialist endocrinology training in Sri Lanka.
He has trained as a Fellow in Endocrinology at Alfred Health, Melbourne.
He subsequently relocated to Shepparton in 2022
Udai is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
He currently works as a Specialist Endocrinologist at GV Health, where he has played a key role in establishing the inpatient endocrinology service.

His research interests include weight loss interventions, diabetes and its complications.  He is credentialled at Shepparton Private Hospital and provides specialist services there for inpatient management of patients with endocrinology disorders and diabetes. He also provides pre and post surgery management of diabetes for patients listed for surgery.

Udai is accepting referrals from General Practitioners for patients needing complex inpatient care for endocrinilogy disorders and diabetes.
